The template for the Polkadot presentation can be found here. You need to prepare it on your own. There is an example presentation that might be used. Presentation is one of the most important parts of your meetup, so please give yourself enough time to prepare it properly.


Here are some tips on how to improve your presentation and how to modify it

  1. Who is your target audience? Think properly about who is your target audience is, developers - keep your presentation more technical, general audience - talk about general stuff, use cases, and success stories. Always adjust your presentation to your audience

  2. Introduce yourself: A good way to build your network is to properly introduce yourself. You can invite people to follow your socials. Below you can see an example. You can add

  3. What is Polkadot? Introduce people to the philosophy of Polkadot

    1. Explain the structure of Polkadot
    2. Show interesting numbers (Useful links can be found on our page Learn Polkadot)
  4. General tips:

    1. Do not add too much text to your slides if it's not needed
    2. Add pictures, screenshots, videos, or GIFs to make the presentation more enjoyable
    3. Add an interactive part (ask questions or opinions of people)
  5. Mention interesting Polkadot projects: you can find a list of good projects on the Polkadot page

  6. Polkadot wallets: Explain which wallets are good and recommended. You can even tell people to interact with them during your presentation.

  7. Explain Polkadot Governance and Treasury, plus other funding opportunities.

  8. Invitation to participate:

    1. Explain to them the Polkadot Blockchain Academy and where to apply (great way to learn about Polkadot, get new knowledge, and start engaging with the ecosystem)
    2. Ambassador Program
    3. Any kind of invitation to join and start exploring Polkadot
  9. Free NFT claim: Optional, but recommended:

    Use the DOTmemo application to create a POAP, which event attendees can easily claim. Create an image you will upload to the app and allow attendees to claim it during the event. The app is easy to use, but if you need help, don't hesitate to connect with curators.

  10. Call to action: Join Polkadot Discord, follow Twitter, and show them the official webpage. You can use QR codes to make some of these call-to-action points easier. You can also use this QR code leading to the Polkadot linktree:

    Be careful! Many apps allow you to create a QR code, but most of them have an expiration after some time! Do not add a QR code to your banner if you are unsure if the link expires! You can use apps like Canva, where you can create a QR code without expiration.

  11. Show creativity and make your presentation more interesting by making it interactive, with various content, examples of success, funny stories, memes, videos, quizzes, or competitions.
